Benchmark equity indices rallied in mid-trading session on Thursday amid positive global cues on the sidelines of potential India-US trade deal and fresh foreign fund inflows.

Sensex traded 403.65 pts or 0.47 per cent higher at 85,590.12 at 1.18 pm, hitting a fresh high of 85,699.73. Nifty 50 surged 150.40 pts or 0.58 per cent to 26,203.05 (hitting an intraday high of 26,215.35) scaling above 26200 level for the first time since September 2024.

Midcap 100 soared hit an intraday high of 61,205 (close to 52-week high of 61,220.25). A majority of sectoral indices traded in green, while media, realty, PSU Bank, healthcare and pharma dipped.
