Flight disruptions have stabilized this week, as the FAA restrictions were completely lifted .
Ahead of a busy Thanksgiving week, flight disruptions were minimal. On Wednesday, November 19, there were just 2,996 delays within, into or out of the United States. This number was tripled on most days during the final stages of the government shutdown.
Despite the optimistic numbers, disruptions are still occurring. Delta Air Lines faced flight disruptions at one of its busiest airports at the start of the week. This was due to weather conditions affecting LaGuardia Airport.
United Airlines also experienced disruptions of its own with a couple of scary incidents, including a bomb threat and a smoke-filled flight.
