President Trump has pardoned nearly 1,600 Capitol rioters and granted clemency to two dozen additional allies, donors and supporters in his second term.
His indiscriminate “No MAGA left behind” approach has eroded the rule of law and created the appearance that consequences only apply to Trump’s opponents.
Legal experts and commentators across the political spectrum are now calling for a constitutional amendment to restrict this unchecked presidential power.
