MARINETTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Marinette police say they confiscated two airsoft firearms and edged weapons outside Marinette High School after a report of weapons on school property.

Police were called to the school at 11:30 Wednesday morning.

The weapons were secured in a case, locked inside a vehicle, police said.

A short time later, police were notified about a potential threat at the school.

Again, police investigated, interviewing students, families and faculty and reviewing security video, and concluded there was no threat to anyone’s safety at the school.

No further information was released about the alleged threat.
