New Delhi: A Class 11 student of Gurugram has come into the limelight in a land where academic pressure is often more important than creativity, with an invention inspired by empathy. Pranet Khetan, 16, a student at Shiv Nadar School, has developed Paraspeak , an AI-assisted speech technology that will assist speech- and voice-impaired individuals to talk more fluently in Hindi. His project was chosen among the four nationally selected winners in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025.

The pocket-sized device captures the speech of a user that is slurred or unintelligible and forwards the message to an AI model on the cloud and then rereads the message as a clearer and more fluent version in Hindi.
