JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was hospitalized and underwent surgery early Thursday morning after being shot multiple times along Columbus Avenue on Jacksonville's Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
JSO Sgt. Mitlyng said officers responded to the shooting around 2:50 a.m. When they arrived, Mitlyng said they found the man, who is in his 30s, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Mitlyng, the man was taken to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses, but none were found, Mitlyng said. He added that there is currently no description of the suspect.
