Four individuals accused in the Red Fort blast case have been remanded to 10 days of custody by a Delhi court. The accused are Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather from Saharanpur, Dr Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow, and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay from Shopian. They were arrested in Srinagar based on production warrants issued by the Patiala House Court.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) claims that Saeed, Rather, and the others played a significant role in planning and executing the blast that occurred on November 10, which resulted in the deaths of 15 civilians and injuries to many others. The NIA stated that the suspects were involved in logistics, planning, and facilitating the terror plot on the ground. Prior to this, they were in the custody of the Jammu & Kashmir Police.

These arrests follow the earlier detentions of Amir Rashid Ali, the registered owner of the vehicle used in the blast, and Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, who allegedly provided essential technical support to the group. Both are currently under interrogation.

The Union Cabinet has classified the November 10 explosion near the Red Fort metro station as a “heinous terror attack” and has committed to ensuring that those responsible face the strictest punishment. The NIA has interviewed 73 witnesses, including survivors of the attack, and is collaborating with various police agencies across India, as well as international counterparts in Saudi Arabia, the Maldives, and Turkey, to uncover the broader conspiracy and dismantle the network behind the attack.
