Dry and seasonably cool conditions are expected to continue across Massachusetts on Thursday and through early next week, with high pressure dominating the region’s weather.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the low to mid-40s on Thursday, colder than on Wednesday as a result of additional cloud cover. Light winds are expected throughout the day.
Overnight, temperatures should dip into the low 20s away from the coasts and urban areas.
High pressure starts to move offshore on Friday, with warm air blowing into the region, helping temperatures approach the low 50s. The day starts mostly sunny, but some clouds will filter in later in the day as a shortwave, essentially a disturbance in the mid or upper part of the atmosphere, nears.
