A former school employee in Connecticut has pleaded guilty to federal charges of coercion and enticement of an 11-year-old to engage in sexual activity. Alyson Cranick, 44, a married mother of two, admitted sexually assaulting a minor after grooming him over several months in 2022.

According to the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut, Cranick sent the minor nearly 5,000 messages across text, Snapchat, and Discord, using gifts and caffeine to manipulate him.

Cranick, who worked as an administrative assistant at E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield until she was fired in September 2023, lured the minor to meet her at least 14 times. She often persuaded him to sneak out of his home late at night to meet her, the New York Post .
