Fresh Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least four people on Thursday while a fragile truce between Israel and Hamas remained in effect, sparking alarm of renewed hostilities in the war-torn Palestinian enclave on the brink of starvation due to the two-year conflict.

The new strikes took place after the Israeli military carried out strikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis, killing 27 people, marking one of the deadliest days in the Gaza Strip since the truce came into effect on October 10. As per reports, Israel has carried out 393 attacks on Gaza in violation of the US-brokered ceasefire, killing at least 312 people.
