Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav today held a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Hirotaka Ishihara on the sidelines of COP30 in Belem. In a social media post, he said that the discussions focused on successful implementation of Joint Credit Mechanism and other critical areas of cooperation between the two countries. Mr Yadav also held a meeting with German Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety Carsten Schneider.

The leaders discussed implementation of the principles of the Paris Agreement for the efficient execution in the ongoing COP30 and to further cooperation in climate action for a greener tomorrow. The Minister also had discussions with Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities of Denmark,
