Syracuse, N.Y. — Skiers have a profound ability to battle the wintry elements in competition.

After a stint out in the cold, some skiers rush for a hot beverage to warm them up. Other skiers, however, can’t get enough snow.

At Syracuse.com’s winter sports media day, we ask skiers which of their teammates would sprint to the lodge for hot chocolate after practice. We also asked which one of their teammates would win a snowball fight.

Here are their responses:

Hot chocolate

Harper Abbey, Lowville

“She is the fastest person on the team. She just b-lines to the lodge at the end.” — Cori Haney

Nick Gaspa, Whitesboro

“He has the determination.” — John Bradley

Snowball fight

Karli Gillette, Lowville

“She’s a senior on the team. She has the most passion to put toward things.” — Cori Han
