New Delhi: The All India Football Federation is unable to dissuade state associations from objecting the contentious representation clause in its new constitution and will include their protestations in its affidavit to the Supreme Court .
On Wednesday, AIFF held an informal in-person meeting with disgruntled member associations at its headquarters in New Delhi but not much headway could be obtained over objections and its has been decided that state units would unitedly file a review petition in due course.
Around 20 of its 33 affiliated associations had objected to Article 25.3 (c and d) that prohibits simultaneous representation of officials in AIFF’s executive committee and state units.
