ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - A 17-year-old girl was injured in a shooting late Wednesday night in Elkhart.

Police said they received several calls around 11:40 p.m. about shots being fired in the 900 block of Portage Lane at Carriage House Apartments.

When officers arrived, they said they found a 17-year-old girl who had been shot. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for what’s believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made in the case.
