On November 20, 2025, several cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) were reported as the most polluted in India. Key cities include Noida, Greater Noida, Hapur, Rohtak, Meerut, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, and Bhiwadi.
Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 392, indicating “very poor” air quality. Gurugram and Faridabad also had poor ratings with AQIs of 300 and 265 respectively. This situation has led to health warnings from doctors advising people to stay away from Delhi for six months.
