Charli XCX stars as herself in the first trailer for the singer’s upcoming film The Moment , a movie that goes behind-the-scenes of Brat Summer while simultaneously serving as metafiction about the music industry.
The A24 film was directed by Aidan Zamiri and “based on an original idea” by XCX. A previous logline teased that The Moment was about “a rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut,” and with the first trailer, it’s revealed the “rising pop star” in question is Charli XCX herself.
