CHICAGO (WBBM) - A community on the South Side of Chicago is outraged after an attack on a mother and her two children outside an elementary school.
Neighbors said it wasn’t the first time the same group of kids had attacked someone.
The attack was caught on video, and it can be difficult to watch; children circled a mother and then pinned her against a fence. The mother and her son were dragged to the ground as the group continuously beat them.
Shanice Davis lives nearby.
“These children will have to live with this for the rest of their lives, and the children are our future, so it’s not fair,” Davis said.
Police said it started when the 33-year-old mother, her young son and daughter were walking near 106th Street and Bensley Avenue in the South Deering neighborhood.
