OTTAWA — Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland — who was instrumental in the downfall of former prime minister Justin Trudeau — is set to helm a prestigious English educational trust.
Freeland is set to become the next Warden of Rhodes House and CEO of the Rhodes Trust — the well-known educational charity responsible for awarding the Rhodes Scholarship, an undergraduate fellowship for the University of Oxford in the U.K.
“It is an honour and privilege to return to Oxford as Warden of Rhodes House and CEO of the Rhodes Trust,” Freeland said in a statement.
