Sangareddy: Ameenpur police on Thursday conducted a counselling session for 60 transgenders living within the station limits, following directions from Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj. The move came in the wake of complaints that transgenders were extorting citizens during housewarming ceremonies, marriages and other functions.
In a press statement, Paritosh Pankaj said criminal cases would be filed if anyone was found harassing citizens. He instructed station house officers to take stern action
