A Welsh resident has been jailed for six years after travelling to Kent to have sex with a child. Timothy Boorman, of Ffordd Taliesin, Killay, near Swansea, had been speaking to the victim online before travelling to meet them in the north of the county on August 13.
On arrival, he was immediately arrested and taken into custody. The 60-year-old was subsequently charged with offences including arranging the commission of the rape of a child.
He pleaded guilty at his first appearance at Maidstone Crown Court. On Friday, November 14 he appeared again at the same court where he was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment.
