Birmingham City have revealed the design for a 62,000-seater stadium that will be the centrepiece of the Sports Quarter and it will be called 'The Powerhouse'.
The stadium design was unveiled at Digbeth Loc. Studios on Thursday afternoon by Blues chairman Tom Wagner, Bluenose and film director Steven Knight and Heatherwick Studios architect Eliot Postma.
Knight prepared a film for guests to reveal the stadium that included cameos from minority investor Tom Brady, Real Madrid and England superstar Jude Bellingham and Peaky Blinders actor Paul Anderson.
The design, which is a collaboration between architects from Heatherwick Studios and US-based MANICA with assistance from Knight on a consultancy basis, features chimneys - 12 to be exact - all around the outside of a modern
