A late decision is to be made on Dael Fry’s availability for Saturday’s trip to Oxford United, but George Edmundson will definitely miss out once again for Middlesbrough .
Edmundson missed the Birmingham City win before the international break with a hip issue that has not settled during the break sufficiently for him to be involved this weekend. Fry and Matt Targett were both forced off in that game, with Boro still winning despite their makeshift defence.
While Targett has recovered fully from the foot issue he had, Fry’s calf continues to be an issue, with he one of a few players being assessed on Friday ahead of Boro’s trip south.
