JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As rumors swirl online about a so-called “serial killer” targeting women in Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is pushing back— calling the claims flat-out false .
In a statement this week, JSO said detectives are investigating several recent homicide cases involving female victims, but emphasized there is no evidence the crimes are connected or that there is any danger to the general public.
