Bengaluru: The state government has released the final notification for the reorganisation of the Greater Bengaluru Authority, dividing the city into five independent corporations with a total of 369 wards.

As per the notification, the new structure assigns 63 wards to the Bengaluru Central Corporation, 50 wards to Bengaluru East, 112 wards to Bengaluru West, 72 wards to Bengaluru North and another 72 wards to Bengaluru South.

The earlier draft had listed 368 wards. After examining objections and suggestions submitted by the public, the government made changes and finalised the number at 369 wards.
