PRAIRIE CITY, Iowa —

A Prairie City man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for child pornography possession.

The Southern District Court of Iowa says, at the time of his arrest in October 2024, Anthony VanMeter, 55, was already on supervised release for possessing sexual material of children. A cellphone in his possession contained more than 75 photographs and 250 videos.

There is no parole in the federal court system.
