Tom Wagner has confirmed that Birmingham City’s new stadium ‘The Powerhouse’ will have a naming rights deal attached to it.
Blues unveiled the design for the 62,000-seater stadium that will be the centrepiece of the Sports Quarter on Thursday afternoon.
Knighthead hope to have built The Powerhouse by 2030 and they have already received interest in sponsorship.
"It will definitely have a naming rights deal, that's for sure," Wagner said. "Ideally, before we even put a shovel in the ground. There are a number of interested parties that we've been working with but we didn't want to advance those conversations too far until we were able to actually show people what we were doing."
The name is unlike anything currently on the market in football and will undoubtedly attract
