HARTINGTON, Neb. (KTIV) - A sentence has now been given to Carrie Jones, the wife of Jason Jones, the man convicted of killing four people in Northeast Nebraska.
Carrie Jones was sentenced on Thursday, Nov. 20, to life in prison.
The sentencing follows her conviction on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, where a jury found Carrie Jones guilty of three charges connected to the four murders in the town of Laurel. Those charges were:
First-degree murder
Tampering with evidence
Accessory to a felony
The quadruple murder in Laurel, NE
According to KTIV’s previous coverage, the first-degree murder charge comes from the role that prosecutors say Carrie Jones played in carrying out the death of 86-year-old Gene Twiford, one of the four people fatally shot on Aug. 4, 2022.
