Michigan actor Jeff Daniels is partnering with Tannin Property Group to open a 100-seat restaurant in the actor's hometown this spring.
JD's Stage Bistro will be a music venue, restaurant and event space at 117 ½ South Main St. in Chelsea. The project, which is just steps from Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre, is now under construction.
Daniels' son and daughter-in-law are also part of JD's Stage, which aims to "attract local, regional and nationally recognized singer-songwriters" to their "crystal-clear performance room," according to a press release.
