RALEIGH, N.C. -- Federal officials have confirmed that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operation, "Charlotte's Web," has officially ended, according to Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden.

However, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will continue its operations in the county as usual. The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) will not participate in immigration enforcement actions with ICE. They will adhere to House Bill 218, releasing individuals in their custody to ICE within the required two-day period.
