OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - A boil water notice issued in Ocean Springs Tuesday evening has been lifted as of Thursday morning, according to the city.
The notice, which affected areas west of Bechtel Boulevard to Lovers Lane and north and south of Highway 90, was issued after multiple water main breaks happened Tuesday.
Grand Teton Drive, Carlsbad Place, Niagara Avenue, and East Groveland Road, east of Parktown, were other affected areas.
Utility crews worked to repair the issue as quickly as possible, wrapping up repairs to the broken water main on Russell Avenue Tuesday evening.
The Ocean Springs Public Works Department says it’s been working to upgrade that particular water main for months by replacing aging asbestos concrete pipes with plastic pipes.
