No bids were made on a trio of foreclosed downtown Iowa City properties at a recent sheriff's sale, returning ownership to a local bank.
The three properties previously owned by Marc Moen, Robert Jett, and Monica Moen, as well as others, were foreclosed upon by GreenState Credit Union. The properties, which include The Chauncey Building, Plaza Towers and Park@201 , were placed up for auction at a sheriff's sale on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Around 30 people attended the auction, The Daily Iowan reported , but despite the significant crowd, nobody bid on the properties at the $24 million starting price.
A parking lot near the downtown Starbucks, at Clinton Street and Burlington Street, was initially included in the sale, but was left off during the Tuesday auction.
