CORBIN — The Corbin City Board of Commissioners met for its regular monthly meeting on Monday, handling a full agenda that included a special community recognition, a speed-limit change, personnel approvals, and a presentation from a Corbin Middle School student seeking stronger animal-care protections.

Before approving minutes from the previous meeting, Mayor Suzie Razmus opened the session by presenting a Corbin Colonel award to local resident Doris Moore, founder of the Corbin Community Backpack Program. The honor is given to Corbin residents who have devoted significant service to the community.
