LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Closures for I-65 South on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge are postponed for "further analysis," according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC).
Crews were supposed to be working on repairs Nov. 21-22 and Dec. 5-6. However, both overnight weekend closures are now postponed.
KYTC said in a news release that "engineers found additional measurements of the steel bearings and further analysis are needed before continuing repairs and scheduling additional overnight bridge closures."
Officials said the evaluation will require an extension of the overall project timeline. Additional overnight closures will be scheduled once engineering assessments are complete.
KYTC will release the new dates of closures once they are confirmed.
