Former Arsenal striker Chido Obi has been backed to replace injured Manchester United star Benjamin Sesko by Dwight Yorke.
Obi played in Arsenal’s Hale End academy but was snapped up by the Red Devils in September 2024 as he swapped the Emirates for Old Trafford.
The 17-year-old, an international for Denmark U21s, has played eight games for United to date and is still waiting to score for the first team.
But former United forward Yorke is convinced that Obi has what it takes tobe starting games under Ruben Amorim following Sesko’s recent injury.
It was reported on Monday that Sesko will miss around a month with the knee issue he picked up against Tottenham before the international break.
