CRESTLINE, Ohio (WOIO) - A son was arrested in Canada after his parents were found dead inside their Crestline home, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Crestline police said officers were called to the home in the 700 block of N. Henry Street for a welfare check on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
That’s where two victims were found dead, police said.
Police identified them as 61-year-old Lisa Anatra and 63-year-old Matthew Anatra.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office soon put out an arrest warrant for their son, Matthew Anatra.
Homeland Security then put Canadian authorities on alert.
Anatra was later arrested by Canadian officials after trying to cross the border.
Maxwell Anatra is being held in Michigan until he can be brought back to Crawford County.
