SILOAM SPRINGS -- The Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation Department is issuing a final call for participants to register for the annual pre-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot race.

Registration for the 5K event closes Friday with no same-day registration available.

The race is set for Saturday. Participants must check in starting at 7 a.m. near the starting line at the intersection of Washington and Main streets. The race will start at 8 a.m., according to a city news release.

Awards will be given to top finishers across various age divisions. The highlight of the morning will be the frozen turkey raffle where multiple participants will win a full Thanksgiving turkey in time for the holiday, according to the release.
