GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Local Toco Bell worker Austin Meyers remained unimpressed by a customer's excellent Spanish accent when pronouncing the word ‘chalupa.'
Jake Gibson, a frequent Taco Bell customer, arrived this afternoon and proudly stepped up to the counter to put some of his Spanish practice to good use.
"Let's see… I mean, let's sí," he said humorously before affecting a thick Mexican accent. "I'll have the, uh... the chalupa , por favor."
Meyers met Gibson's excited gaze with a blank stare and only asked, "Ok. Do you want sour cream with your chalupa?"
Gibson continued his order undeterred. "Sí, por favor, señor. And give me lots and lots of that Del Infierrrrrrrrrrno sauce. That means ‘Of the Hell' sauce in Spanish, if you didn't know.
Meyers reported that he didn't know that,
