As dead marine life again washes up in high numbers along pockets of South Australia's coastline, questions have been asked about Adelaide's stormwater network and what contribution it might be making to the ongoing harmful algal bloom (HAB).

Beachgoers in Adelaide's west this week reported some of the highest numbers of dead fish, mostly leatherjackets believed to have come from deeper waters further offshore, since the HAB spread from the Fleurieu Peninsula earlier this year.
