FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear, D-Ky., and first lady Britainy Beshear awarded more than $2.1 million in federal funding to support victims of domestic violence Thursday during a news briefing.

According to a news release, the funding through the Violence Against Women Act will go to 29 different agencies and organizations across Kentucky to help prevent sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking in the commonwealth.
