CPD: Detectives speak with person of interest in Smith case

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department says it has finally spoken with a person of interest in a 13-year-old case.

“I want Sage’s family and this community to hear directly from me. We have not forgotten Sage. We will not forget Sage,” said CPD Chief Michael Kochis at a press conference on Thursday. “And we will continue to seek justice with persistence, compassion and transparency to this community.”
