LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday at midnight.

Officers in the 3400 block of Lilac Street reported hearing gunshots in the area.

When they investigated further, they found two males who told police someone had begun shooting at them as they walked home from Two Brothers One Stop nearby.

Officials said neither man was injured. They continued and told officers that they didn't see the shooters.

Police then spoke with the mother of one of the males, who told them the men had been arguing with other males and that those males had been walking in front of her residence “all day looking suspicious.”

Officers found two 9mm shell casings and three .223 casings in the area. Officials said no suspects have been arrested
