Gov. Larry Rhoden, who's now officially running to keep that title , appeared at a Nov. 20 town hall in Sioux Falls to discuss his campaign and answer questions from the public.

And while he said that one of his biggest strengths was being someone who could open a dialogue with people on divisive topics while remaining open and civil, he made it very clear that he wasn't pleased with comments made by a fellow Republican legislator earlier this week.

State Senate President Pro Tempore Chris Karr, R-Sioux Falls said Nov. 19 that the state should consider regulations on agriculture to combat water pollution, saying that "I think it takes more than the carrot to address this."

The comments were made at a meeting of the Legislature's Executive Board and reported by South Dakota Searchligh
