Authorities reignited their manhunt for Aaron Pennington on Thursday, more than two years after the Air Force veteran allegedly murdered his wife at home in Gardner and promptly vanished.

Citing a Massachusetts State Police spokesperson, The Boston Globe reported that K9 units, the State Police Air Wing, and the Special Emergency Response Team have continued to search for 35-year-old Pennington, who has been missing since he allegedly shot and killed his wife the morning of Oct. 22, 2023.

Neither State Police nor the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office returned requests for comment Thursday afternoon.

Thursday’s search reportedly focused on an area near Camp Collier, a local Scout camp where investigators found Pennington’s car the day after the murder, per The Gar
