Tributes are pouring in for Gary 'Mani' Mounfield , who suddenly died on Thursday (November 20), aged 63 . Now, fans can share their own message in memory of the Manchester legend by contributing to our tributes page.

The Stone Roses bass player passed away almost two years to the day to the day after his beloved wife, Imelda. She died in November, 2023, after a three year battle with stage four bowel cancer.

The couple shared twin boys, Gene and George, 12, who were born in January 2013.

Music legends from across the country have been sharing their love and memories of Mani this evening following the news of his tragic passing. Tim Burgess, lead singer for The Charlatans, described him as a "beautiful friend", adding: "One of the absolute best in every way."
