1DC man arrested in months-old Elvans Road murder case

Washington, DC – A nearly eight-month-long homicide investigation led to an arrest Tuesday in the March shooting death of 25-year-old Tre’von Norman, who was gunned down on Elvans Road in Southeast.

Corey Noble, 27, of Southeast DC, was taken into custody by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. He is charged with First Degree Murder while Armed–Felony Murder in connection to the deadly shooting that unfolded on the evening of March 20.

According to police, Seventh District officers were called to the 2400 block of Elvans Road at approximately 7:02 p.m. that night for a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they found Norman unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts
