HARTINGTON, Neb. (KTIV) - Three judges in Northeast Nebraska met for a deliberation and mitigation hearing for Jason Jones, the man convicted last year for the murder of four people.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, the judges met in Cedar County to discuss whether Jason Jones would face the death penalty after being convicted on several charges, including four first-degree murder charges and two arson charges. The jury for his trial stated the circumstances warranted a possible death penalty for Jason Jones.
During Thursday’s hearing, the three judges heard evidence and testimony on that matter.
