BALLS: The Monster-Catchin’ Musical Comedy– Pokemon Parody and Millennial Nostalgia at its Finest

A Pokemon parody musical, BALLS: The Monster-Catchin’ Musical Comedy “appeared in the wild” at Caveat in downtown Manhattan for multiple performances over this past year, with a final performance on October 17th. BALLS even had an interactive panel at New York Comic Con earlier this year with hundreds of audience members and a line that wrapped around the convention hall, featuring Veronica Taylor, the voice of Ash Ketchum. The Queens Gazette was lucky enough to catch the final performance of BALLS at Caveat and most of the millennial nostalgia references, especially appreciating Stuart Zagnit’s spellbinding performance as the Professor.
