WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 12 On Your Side investigation has uncovered a second Family Violence case of may have been altered.
It’s a growing pattern that could be breaking state protocols involving Family Violence cases.
The 2024 Georgia Commission on Family Violence fact sheet shows there were 42,184 incidents of family violence reported. Family Violence incidents reported statewide increased by 12% from 2023 to 2024.
The latest case in Burke County involves a woman who was arrested for Family Violence in August 2025 but ultimately received only a county citation for disorderly conduct.
