Two longtime state football powers will have the stage to themselves as they compete for the 3A state football championship on Saturday.

Fallon plays Moapa Valley at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mackay Stadium in Reno. It's the only state championship game in Northern Nevada this season.

The 1A State championship pitting Tonopah against Pahranagat Valley is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bishop Gorman's campus in Las Vegas. The other four state championship games are set for Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Those games are on Tuesday due to the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix taking over that city and all its hotel rooms this week. The race is Saturday night.
