CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The man accused of crashing into federal law enforcement vehicles and injuring a Border Patrol agent in Charlotte last weekend was issued a bond on Thursday.
Miguel Angel Garcia Martinez, 24, was issued a $25,000 unsecured by a judge in federal court on Thursday, Nov. 20. Martinez was federally indicted after allegedly following federal agents around on Sunday, Nov. 16 and then leading them on a chase.
On Thursday, Magistrate Judge David Keesler delayed making a determination on probable cause in the case. The prosecution struggled to convince the court that Martinez intentionally assaulted federal agents.
